1. MOULDING OF PLASTIC MATERIALS
Zini Astucci has a totally renewed machine fleet that, thanks to a totally
computerised management of all moulding parameters, allows the company to obtain very high
quality standards and a precise
quality control. The will to always search for new ways to solve different problems related to the specific jewellery case sector has rewarded a
unique Know how that makes us the ideal partners for the development of new and up-to-date products.
The creation of a new plastic part can be divided the following steps:
DEVELOPMENT AND ENGINEERING OF THE PRODUCT: definition of the physical and geometric features of the part that is going to be produced keeping in mind the restrictions imposed by materials and by the different moulding techniques. This step also comprehends the
material selection and the definition of the
moulding technique to be used.
MOULD PLANNING: definition and measurement of the mould, of its features and peculiarities in relation to the production needs.
MOULD REALISATION: on the basis of what elaborated in the previous steps.
PRODUCTION TRIAL PILOT: extremely delicate step that, trough moulding trials, allows the adjustment of the most critical features of the part and the tuning of the final settings needed to reach the desired tolerances and performances.
FINAL PRODUCTION: production stage with the use of the final mould.

Zini Astucci carefully follows each step of this productive process to achieve first grade results and
complete customer satisfaction . All production is carried out with the use of the most advanced machinery, and in particular, the planning of solids benefits of computerised production centres and work isles that are interfaced with the latest CAD CAM software, in order to achieve
absolute precision.
2. PAPER WORKING
Zini Astucci, thanks to years of experience in the field of automated production of cardboard boxes, is considered today a market leader in the paper working field . Its experience in this field has generated the ECO series in 1996 and the
VELA series in year 2000.
Today the paper making division can satisfy any type of need related to:
COVERING: for the production of cases of the
ECO and
VELA type.
With little implant cost
any size can be produced and then covered with a choice of paper from
hundreds that are available. Specific inserts (
thermo moulded,
thermo welded and dye-cut) and finishing's can be developed to obtain a
new and truly special case, completely personalized and suitable for the piece.
DYE CUTTING: With this process
flocked foam inserts, cardboard inserts and
foldable cases can be obtained. Foldable cases are boxes that the end user has to assemble on his own by folding them. Usually they are flat and they can be easily assembled following the sharp creases purposely created during production.
3. VACUFORMED THERMO-MOULDING

In the Jewellery and custom jewellery world, this type of processing technique, with the use of automated machinery, can produce inserts for cases
moulded in any shape.

A classic example of thermo moulded insert is the one used for
necklaceskey-chains ,
bracelets, etc, etc; nevertheless this technique can also provide
specific room for any type of object.
The flocked materials used give the inserts a
velvety touch. These materials are available in various
colours.
4. THERMO-WELTING
This processing technique can produce, with the use of automated machinery, a peculiar type of insert, suitable for the finishing of any type of case.
The strengths of this technique are:
- great tactile and visual effect thanks to the use of first quality materials;
- competitive price;
- absolute precision of the pieces produced that are all perfectly identical;
- possible production of large volumes.

Our
standard production provides an ample array of sizes and colours for each type of insert. Along with the inserts, we can also produce
on commission small display boxes, various types of
display items and
special parts.
5. CUTTING OF RIBBONS OR STRINGS.
The ECO series usually comes with a
ribbon placed on the bottom that gives it a more elegant and practical finish. To offer a
higher qualitative standard we have installed machines that provide
precise and net cuttings. This avoids the messy strings that can come with time, and that are typical of scissor cuts.

The cutting options we offer our clients are:
- Sealed oblique cut ( for synthetic materials )
- Sealed straight cut ( for synthetic materials )
- Non sealed straight cut ( for natural materials )
We can work, with very high quality standards, ribbons, cords, elastics and also supply cut-outs with
length ranging from 5cm to 2 m.
